Individual psychotherapy
We will begin with an initial twenty minute consultation at no charge to see if I'm the right person for you to work with, and talk about scheduling. Regular psychotherapy sessions typically last 50 minutes and are held once per week or more frequently, depending on individual needs. The duration of therapy may be shorter or longer-term. The fee for treatment is $250 per session, after an initial 20 minute consultation which is free of charge.
Currently psychotherapy sessions are primarily by video visit. I have very limited availability for in-office sessions and I continue to observe COVID-safe protocols at my office.
Adjunct EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a brief, intensive intervention that can be helpful in processing certain kinds of traumatic experiences. It often works best in the context of a supportive psychotherapy that can help you integrate your experience with trauma processing and work through more complex issues that aren't amenable to this kind of approach. If your therapist thinks you might benefit from a few sessions of EMDR, our first step would be to sign a release of information to coordinate with them and determine if it could be helpful in your situation.
